A Pallet, also known as a “Bunkie-board” is a 2′′ bed base using a sturdy wooden frame. The purpose of the pallet is to support and protect the mattress without drastically raising the mattress’s height. Pallets are suggested to be on slatted or platform bed frames.

Our wood foundation framework is made of sturdy Grade-2 SPF wood with 3′′ slat spacing. A wood foundation is also the best way to complete your custom size mattress set and will accommodate spring, memory foam, latex, or all-natural mattresses.

A box spring is a bed base constructed using a sturdy wooden frame base with a heavy flexing steel spring. The purpose of the box spring is to raise the mattress’s height, making it easier to get in and out of bed, to absorb shock and reduce wear to the mattress, and to create a flat and firm structure for the mattress to lie on. Our True Flex box spring provides strong, flexible support moving with the mattress to prolong the life and comfort of your mattress while ensuring you experience support for the life of your bed. With the increasing height of mattresses, you have the option of a “regular profile” box spring 8” in height or the “low profile” box spring at 5-1/2”. Changing the height of the box spring will not affect the support of feel.

The purpose of the foundation is to raise the mattress’s height, making it easier to get in and out of bed and to create a flat and firm structure for the mattress to lie on. A Semi-Flex® foundation will extend the life of your mattress by providing the adequate support needed. With the increasing height of mattresses, you have the two height options that will not affect the support of feel. A Semi-Flex offers a steel wire foundation combination which is better than all-wood alternatives because it’s stronger, lasts longer, and doesn’t squeak or crack like wood does over the years.
